Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between NFS, Fidelity, Kestra, & Magnolia Wealth Partners & how are they all connected?
NFS/Fidelity:
NFS is a subsidiary of Fidelity and provides clearing, custody, and other related services. Your accounts are “held” here and we manage your accounts through their platform.
Kestra:
Kestra provides Tara and I with all the tools and support we need to better help our clients. They help manage our back-office operations, our technology, compliance, and market research.
Magnolia Wealth Partners:
Magnolia is essentially a branch of Kestra that Tara has founded. We use all the tools, platforms, and services mentioned above to offer our clients the best service, investment strategies and solutions, and overall experience!
Do you offer banking services?
Yes, banking is available through PNC bank with services such as debit cards, bill pay, check writing, and mobile deposit. We do not offer credit cards.
How long will it take to transfer my assets to Magnolia Wealth Partners?
Once your account paperwork has been signed, it has typically been taking around 5 business days. We will regularly “sweep” over any residuals in your old accounts that did not make it in the original transfer for the next several weeks.
How can I view my accounts?
You have two ways to view your accounts: Wealthscape Investor and E-Money.
Wealthscape Investor:
Fidelity created Wealthscape Investor as a client portal to view your accounts and holdings. You can register for Wealthscape Investor at here. It is important to note that if you have ever had an NFS/Fidelity account in the past, the system will want you to “Reset you Password” rather than create new login credentials.
Once registered, Wealthscape Investor has an app that allows you to check your accounts from your phone at any time. It is important to note that, when downloading the app, the app is called Wealthscape Investor and not Wealthscape.
E-Money:
Fidelity purchased E-Money to utilize for financial planning. You can view your accounts on this platform as well. The features we love about E-Money are the “Vault” where we can securely share documents and sensitive information as well as the plethora of financial planning reports. They do not have an app yet. If you have not already registered for E-Money, let us know and we will send you an invitation.
Where can I view my statement?
When a new statement is available, you will receive an email notice from Wealthscape Investor prompting you to login into Wealthscape Investor and view your statement. You can also log in at any time to view your past statements.
